A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR STUDENTS!

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_44bc (1).jpg

The Directorate in Quality and Standards in Education (DQSE) has accredited “Non Formal Award in Development through Drama” offered by Helen O’Grady Academy at EQF Level 3 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) for its excellent Development through Drama programme.

This means that students aged nine and upwards can register to achieve this award after succeeding in a number of attainable modules.

The new Helen O’ Grady credit is recognised in Malta and across the whole of the EU.

This is a great opportunity for those students who register for the modules and is a great way for them to immerse themselves a little deeper while obtaining a relatively easy qualification - with no stress and no exams.

There will be some extra hours that we will all have to put in, but what they learn will stay with them forever. Plus - the FUN element that has made us the leading drama school on the island (if not the world) remains a priority!

Fees for this opportunity are €35 per module, plus €15 for the standardised portfolio/proof of work.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Students who register for the programme will attend their usual weekly classes, it is important not to miss lessons as these hours are counted towards the amount needed per module.

Upper Primary students will work towards gaining 2 modules per year. Each module includes normal weekly lessons plus 1 workshop or project per term. An expert in their field will conduct workshops and projects at our Malta Drama Headquarters at 93, Triq Kananea in central Attard. Dates and times will be given out later.

Youth Theatre lessons are now 90 minutes long and students will work towards gaining 3 modules per year. Each module includes our regular weekly lessons plus 1 workshop or project per term. Workshops and projects will be conducted at our Malta Drama HQ in Attard by experts in their respective fields. Dates and times will be communicated later.

Each student will be given a folder to keep a record of their work done and will be awarded a certificate per module attained. This certificate is to be kept as a record in the folder.
